Today’s One Thing
Today, I learned about a Natural Language Processing (NLP) technique called Named Entity Recognition (NER), while building an NLP animation.
NER helps categorize text parts by identifying names, places, or dates. I was building a simple animation to show how NLP works, and adding NER (a tip from ChatGPT) made it more informative, practical and relevant.
I plan to share the full interactive animation, the process and steps that I use to build it soon, so stay tuned.
Named Entity Recognition (NER) makes simple NLP projects much more interesting by helping them understand real-world meanings, not just words. It’s a small addition that makes a big difference—taking your project from a basic overview to something more useful.
